Basic Birkenstock Recraft

Yep—we’ve got the OG, Birkenstock-manufactured and branded soles in white, brown, and black.

If you love the feel and look of factory-original Birkenstocks and want to keep them as true to brand as possible, this is the option for you. That said, let’s be real: you’re paying for the name. This resole is more expensive than our other options, and not because it’s better—it’s not. The higher cost comes strictly from Birkenstock branding, not increased durability or performance.

The cost of Birkenstock sole sheets has skyrocketed across the board for cobblers everywhere. I regularly see Birkenstocks that are 15–20 years old still wearing their original soles, finally coming in for a Woodstock, Vibram, & Double Sole Recrafts. Yet many newer pairs come in needing repairs after just a few months. Simply put, the newer factory soles don’t hold up the way they used to.

If your priority is keeping your Birkenstocks 100% factory-original in appearance, this resole does exactly that. If you’re more focused on longevity, grip, and value, we usually recommend one of our Vibram upgrade options instead.

What’s included with your resole

Every resole package comes with a little extra care:

• Full cleaning and conditioning
• Suede waterproofing and refresh (when applicable)
• Cork footbed resealed to help extend its lifespan

Is a resole all you need?

Before ordering, take a look at your footbeds. If you notice deep cracks in the cork near the straps or areas where the cork is crumbling, the corkbed will need to be replaced. No worries—this is an easy add-on and can be completed during your resole.

Just select:

• Soft footbed or original
• Wide or narrow
• Your Birkenstock size

Once your order is placed, simply ship your Birkenstocks to us.

• Return address

When your shoes arrive, we’ll confirm your order, your spot in line, and keep you updated throughout the process until they’re on their way back to you. Please note: there are no returns once any work has begun.
