If you love the comfort of Birkenstocks but are tired of the slipperiness and short lifespan of standard EVA foam soles, our double sole option offers the best of both worlds. This upgrade pairs the cushioned comfort you’re used to with the long-lasting durability and traction of Vibram rubber—giving your Birks new life without sacrificing feel.

Our double sole recraft combines an orthopedic foam midsole for shock absorption and all-day comfort with a durable, slip-resistant Vibram rubber outsole. You’ll be able to choose from a variety of Vibram soles compatible with Birkenstocks, allowing you to customize both the function and look of your sandals or clogs.

Please note: While compatibility issues with very large Birkenstock sizes are rare, some Vibram soles may not be available for unusually large sizes.

What’s included with your resole

Every double sole resole package includes thoughtful care from start to finish:

• Full cleaning and conditioning
• Suede waterproofing and refresh (when applicable)
• Cork footbed resealed to help extend its lifespan

Is a resole all you need?

Before ordering, take a close look at your footbeds. If you notice deep cracks in the cork near the straps or areas where the cork is crumbling, the corkbed will need to be replaced. No worries—this is a simple add-on and can be completed during your double sole recraft.

When ordering, you’ll select:

• Soft footbed or original
• Wide or narrow
• Your Birkenstock size

• Vibram sole

Send us your Birkenstocks
Ship your sandals to us and include a note in the box with your:

• Name
• Phone number
• Return address

Design consultation
Once your Birkenstocks arrive, we’ll contact you for a one-on-one consultation to finalize midsole thickness, specific shade of the color you chose for your orthopedic foam, return date, and any additional details.

Optional customization
Custom leather work, dyeing, painting, or other Birkenstock alterations are available to make your pair truly your own (additional cost may apply).

Estimated turnaround time: 2–3 weeks after design approval.
