Build Your Own Standard Birkenstock

For legal reasons, I can’t call these Birkenstocks—and honestly, that’s a good thing. They’re not. I build these sandals differently.

The straps are wider, more durable, and designed to actually hold your foot. I use different leathers and heavier weights than what I typically see from Birkenstock, and I can make them look incredibly good—like what you’ll see in our Premium Custom Leather Sandal listing.

That said, maybe you want something custom without going full ornate. This listing is perfect if you’re looking for clean, intentional customization: a business logo, a name, initials, or a short quote—something simple and meaningful. (If you’re looking for more detailed or decorative work, that’s absolutely possible, it just requires an upgrade.)

Birkenstock can’t do that—but I can.

The cool part? I’m legally able to source authentic Birkenstock components and swap out the things that don’t work. And then we take it further by pairing all of that with Vibram soles, ranging from the Woodstock all the way up to the Lug Sole (148 Kletterlift)—and yes, even our double sole option.

What’s included

Every package comes with thoughtful upgrades and extra care:

• Custom, upgraded leather straps
• Genuine Birkenstock hardware
• Famously comfortable, form-fitting cork footbeds, resealed to help extend their lifespan
• 5–6 oz vegetable-tanned leather
• Badalassi Carlo Pueblo vegetable-tanned leather
• Full cleaning and conditioning
• Suede waterproofing and refresh (when applicable)
• Vibram sole of your choice
• Simple Art if you choose it

How to get started

First, take some time to go through the photos in the listing to see the sole and leather options. Once you’ve found what you like, select your options in the listing in the order below.

4. If you chose a double sole recraft, select foam color
5. Select your corkbed size
6. Choose your buckle color
7. Choose your leather

Once your order is placed, we’ll confirm your order, your spot in line, and keep you updated throughout the process until your sandals are ready to ship.
