Custom Leather Clogs

For legal reasons, I can’t call these Birkenstocks—and honestly, that’s a good thing. They’re not. These custom clogs are built differently. 

Just like our sandals, these clogs are designed from the ground up, but with the added complexity of traditional shoe-making. The leather is lasted over the footbed, shaped by hand, and built to hold its structure over time. I use heavier, higher-quality leathers than what you’ll typically find on factory clogs, and the result is something that feels solid, intentional, and made to last. They also look incredibly good—art you can wear.

Here’s how the process works

STEP 1: Design

Before purchasing, please message or call us at (559) 733-4004 to discuss your ideas. The $200 design deposit secures your spot in line and covers the creation of your custom clog design. Once the design process begins, this deposit is non-refundable.

This is a true back-and-forth collaboration. After your order is placed, we’ll have a phone or text consultation where you tell me what you’re envisioning—whether that’s portraits of your dogs, wildflowers, Disney, Harry Potter, or something entirely your own. I’ll create designs based on your themes, must-have elements, and overall vision.

This step includes nearly unlimited revisions, because once we move into leatherwork and lasting, everything becomes permanent. All design communication is handled via text through our business phone to the number you provide.

STEP 2: Customize & Build

Once your design is finalized, you’ll select:

• Leather type (including exotic leathers, if desired)
• Paint and finish options
• Buckles and hardware
• Footbeds and corkbeds
• Soles

Because clogs require a full lasting process and traditional shoe construction, the labor involved is significantly higher than sandals. At this stage, we’ll discuss the second payment, which starts at $550+ depending on design complexity, materials, and build details.

Once all selections are confirmed and the second payment is made, we begin building your clogs by hand.

Every pair is built with premium materials and extra care:

• Artisan leather uppers, lasted and shaped by hand
• Genuine Birkenstock hardware
• Form-fitting cork footbeds, resealed to help extend their lifespan
• 5–6 oz vegetable-tanned leather
• Exotic leather options available
• Full cleaning and conditioning
• Suede waterproofing and refresh (when applicable)
• Vibram or Birkenstock sole of your choice

STEP 3: Ship ’Em Out

Once your clogs are fully constructed, finished, and inspected, they’re packaged up and sent back to you—ready to be worn, lived in, and shown off. Built to last, built with intention.

How long will this take?

Because clogs involve traditional lasting and shoe-making techniques, the timeline is longer. Please expect 2–4 months from design approval to completion and shipment, depending on complexity and workload.
